Beginning with ‘it’s all good,’ inspired by a moment of forgiving transparency between mother and daughter, the listener is then taken to the EP title piece ‘girl with the grey blue eyes,’ in which Holly articulates the intimate memory of her mother’s ethereal passing.
The third track, ‘the high heart,’ is inspirational, transcendent, and reflectively introspective.
The final track ‘trees’ gloriously paints the striking memory of Holly “watching the show” beside her mother just a few days before her passing, of weeping willows by the pond swaying in a violent late evening summer storm, the moments described by Holly as one of her most treasured final memories of her mother.
